The 7th edition of the NID Platform comes with an interesting novelty: the ‘desks’ available to companies that would like to take part in the NID even if they were not selected in the Call for the Programming section or for the Open Studios section.
The aim is to introduce the companies, their artistic journey and their contribution to the dance system in Italy.
This is a new activity included organically in the NID/Cagliari programme and stemming from the idea of creating a guided tour – thanks to the desks – to effectively introduce the Italian dance scene to the national and international operators attending the event. The tour will be coordinated by a professional expert in the field who, in addition to accompanying guests, will act as an interlocutor and mediator in explaining the companies’ activities, their history and their artistic vision.
The desks, assigned on a first-come first-served basis and subject to availability, will be set up at the ‘Sa Manifattura’ cultural hub, one of the NID/Cagliari’s venues that will host some of the scheduled initiatives.
