Pre-Giudizio. Through the bodies on stage – a crescendo of external impulses feeding and shaping prejudice – everything is permeated, distorted, altered. Like the relentless dripping of water, doubt seeps into the mind; it feeds and grows until it hardens into a preconception, capable of generating unjust attitudes. Constrained bodies, ropes that bind and trap within visions veiled by prejudice – telling lies as truths, denying what is real. But are we truly sure that a daily life denying the existence of this deep-rooted attitude is free from prejudice? Pre-judice slithers silently, undermining people’s paths: shadows that become barriers, too often insurmountable. Invisible ropes that divide. 

UDA Company prod. GDO

The UDA Company prod. GDO was born in 2022 throughout the collaboration between GruppoDanzaOggi (GDO) and UrbanDanceAcademy (UDA), with the goal of establishing urban dance as a contemporary choreographic language recognised in theatrical and performance contexts, highlighting the value of Ilenja Rossi’s choreographic creativity, and showcasing the talent of the dancers coming out of UDA. Under the direction of Patrizia Salvatori, founder of GDO, and from 2025, in co-direction with Ilenja Rossi, founder of UDA and a leading figure in urban dance in Italy, the company developed as a hybrid artistic platform merging choreographic research with urban expression, creating a bridge between technique and social themes, tradition and innovation. Composed mainly of dancers under 35, the company promotes an authorial vision of urban dance, with a strong dramaturgical and narrative dimension. The goal is to bring urban dance into theatres, recognising its artistic value on par with other contemporary dance languages, while also inhabiting public spaces through tours and projects in urban and unconventional contexts, including historic towns and urban peripheries.

Ilenja Rossi

Ilenja Rossi comes from a sports background, which has influenced her approach to planning and goals. As a teenager, she discovered urban dance, showing a talent that led her to work with the best companies of the 1990s and to tour in Europe and beyond. She is a teacher, choreographer, international judge and founder of the first Academy of Urban Dance. Since 2020, she has developed choreographic creations that tell life and emotions through the urban language. The union with the GDO and Patrizia Salvatori enriches her creative process, with a focus on musicality and continuous research, always evolving
