Special K is a famous cereal brand, an aircraft used during World War II, the slang term for Ketamine and a single by Placebo. But above all, it is the way I like to think of Kate Bush, the guardian of my desires and mother of my most colourful dreams. Free, dancing, sharp and multifaceted, Kate Bush was an important guide who inspired the joy of being oneself. Her art spanned music, dance and the creation of imaginary worlds, and with her charisma and playful approach, she showed how to recognise our deepest yearnings and honour them. Having grown up among a generation of great British artists encompassing The Cure, Joy Division, David Bowie and New Order, and through collaborations with great masters like Lindsay Kemp, Bush presents herself as freely vulnerable and proud, radiant and magical. This research explores the idea of Special K starting from the question: ‘What makes something special?’ The result is a journey at the intersection of autobiography and pop-rock culture, accompanied by a video dramaturgy that plays with images, culminating in an unexpected road trip.

Compagnia Artemis Danza

Artemis Danza, founded in France in 1994, relocated to Italy in 1997. From 1998 to 2007, it was hosted as company-in-residence at Teatro Due, the Teatro Stabile of Parma and Reggio Emilia, and from 2014 to 2019 at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Today, alongside creations by Monica Casadei, the company has produced and promoted works by young artists and organised training initiatives, focusing on both professional specialisation for dancers and audience engagement. Over the years, choreographer Monica Casadei has developed various creative research paths inspired by the great opera tradition and the masters of Italian culture. During the 2022–2024 three-year period, the central theme of her creations was gender violence, with the works Corpi Violati, Private Callas and Puccini’s Opera. Voci di donne. In 2025, Stabat Mater premiered, selected for NID Platform 2025, and in 2026, Verdi/Shakespeare – Trilogia della Brama debuted at the Teatro Regio di Parma.
