Violetto Bellosguardo is the inedited Italian equivalent of Violet Beauregarde, the blondest and most eccentric girl from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. Violetto Bellosguardo plays with the weight of legacy inscribed in the act of naming a child. As a choreographer, I wish to explore the silenced or untold potential scenarios of Violet Beauregarde’s story, drawing inspiration from — while simultaneously mocking — her traits. This choreographic solo is conceived as a slippery terrain between fiction and autobiography, questioning youthful arrogance, driven by a sharp narrative thread. Guided by the quest on the blue color by Maggie Nelson, a piece to be savored somewhere between laughter and pity. 

Vittorio Porcelli

Vittorio Porcelli is a performer and choreographer born in 2003. He trained with Equilibrio Dinamico, then moving to Ballet Junior de Genève, joining restaging processes of works by Noa Zuk, Alessandro Sciarroni, Marcos Morau, Sasha Waltz & Guests, Hofesh Shechter, Barak Marshall. In 2025 he is in Vienna as a performer for the Marina Abramović project at Albertina Modern. His practice is an exploration of frayed physicality through touches of subversive humour and childhood reminiscences.

Equilibrio Dinamico

In 2011, Roberta Ferrara founded, and has since directed, Equilibrio Dinamico, a dance company that focuses on building a contemporary repertory with a strong European profile and fostering collaboration among international artists. Numerous choreographers have been invited to create for the company, including Jiří Pokorný, Igor Kirov, Bert Uyttenhove, Matthias Kass, Clément Bugnon, and Riccardo Buscarini. The company’s educational repertoire includes works by Imre van Opstal, Guy Shomroni, Miguel Altunaga Verdecia, and others. Equilibrio Dinamico is regularly invited to festivals across Europe, America, and Asia, working closely with Italian Cultural Institutes. Thanks to the support of general director Vincenzo Losito, it also develops training and audience engagement projects with Teatro Pubblico Pugliese. Since 2022, it has partnered with Verve, the company of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (UK), and supports emerging artists through the residency project Abitare.
